Environment and Climate
We manage environmental and climate‑related impacts through lifecycle‑based practices embedded across our operation, constantly seeking innovative approaches to shape a sustainable future.
We are committed to evolving our practices to better help our environment.
At BUMA Australia, we take a lifecycle-based approach to managing environmental risks. From day one through to mine closure, our environmental management practices guide every decision we make.
This is supported by an ISO 14001‑certified Environmental Management System, which defines how environmental risks are identified, monitored and evaluated, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, and drives continuous improvement in environmental performance.
Through training, operational guidelines and site‑level implementation, our people are equipped to integrate environmental and climate considerations into day‑to‑day decision‑making.
