Located in the Bowen Basin of Central Queensland, Saraji Mine is an open pit coal mine owned by BMA and situated on the traditional lands of the Barada Barna people.Locates approximately 25 kilometres from Dysart and 62 kilometres from the town of Moranbah, Saraji is one of Queensland’s largest coal mines.

BUMA Australia provided labour, supervision, technical support and mobile plant to perform truck and excavator pre-strip & coal mining operations.

During our time there the Saraji project employed 80 people, including staff, operators and asset maintenance personnel. Average annual production was approximately 7 million bank cubic meters per annum (7 Mbcm p.a.).
