Our Operations

 

Located in the Bowen Basin of Central Queensland, BMA’s Goonyella Riverside Mine is one of Queensland’s largest coal mines. It is situated approximately 30 kilometres from the town of Moranbah, and around 190 kilometres by rail west of Mackay and the export terminals of Hay Point and Dalrymple Bay.

The BUMA team has been delivering mining services at Goonyella since 2015. We provide labour, supervision, technical support, and mobile plant services for truck and excavator pre-strip operations and coal mining. Our fleets extract approximately 44 million bank cubic meters of overburden annually.

As part of our contract, BUMA is also responsible for the operation and maintenance of one BMA supplied R9800 excavator. Additional trucks and ancillary fleet to support the R9800 are supplied by BUMA.
