Our Operations
Located in the Bowen Basin of Central Queensland, BMA’s Saraji Mine is one of Queensland’s largest coal mines. It is situated approximately 25 kilometres from Dysart and 62 kilometres from the town of Moranbah.
We provide labour, supervision, technical support and mobile plant to perform truck and excavator pre-strip & coal mining operations. The Saraji project employs around 80 people, including staff, mine operations and equipment maintenance personnel.
BUMA will mine a new pit to be opened at Saraji Mine by BMA and average annual production is expected to be approximately 7 Mbcm p.a.
Our fleet comprises of the following:
- 1 x Hitachi EX3600 Excavator
- 4 x Caterpillar 793 Haul Trucks
- 1 x Caterpillar Grader
- 1 x Caterpillar 785 Watercart
- 2 x Caterpillar Tracked Dozers
Community and Environment
We work closely with the community to operate a safe and environmentally responsible mining operation. Dust and noise restrictions are managed to ensure minimal impact.
